SONG - Student Outreach by the New Generation is an initiative started by Canning Garden Baptist Church in 2006. Today it has expanded as reflected by its SONG team which comes from different churches in Ipoh.Its mission is to raise up a New Generation of students that are effective witnesses, of good character and excellent academic achievements. SONG's vision is to release the New Generation to start a student missions movement that will impact nations for God's glory.
This Christmas season, the students of Ipoh have more reason to gather at YMCA.On 10 December 08, we will be hosting a SONG Christmas party.Among the attractions are hip hop presentation from Joel Tan and his team from Urban Groove Kuala Lumpur, the hot “Infuse” music band and the 3 Fs - Fun, Food and Friends!
For the first time, young people can enjoy professional hip hop performances at YMCA.Joel Tan is the founder of Urban Groove Dance Network and a UK certified and professional hip hop instructor.He was the Malaysian Break Dance Team Champion 2002.He would also stay on to conduct a Hip Hop Dance Workshop on 11 Dec in YMCA.

In SONG YMCA, you dare to dream. Dreams are sweeter when you are with your friends. You will find your friends from peers - students from different schools and also from among the adults. The adults there are like your biggest supporters, cheerleaders and counsellors. Most of all - they love students.
If you are from SMJK Yuk Choy, Perak Girls' school, Sam Tet, Ave Maria and Methodist Girl's' school - you will see SONG in the schools CFs or YCS societies. This blog let you see what is happening in the different schools' CFs or YCS. Even if you are not from their schools, you are still welcome in this blog and in our SONG.
Together lets make this blog, SONG YMCA and the schools the 'happening place' for students.Yeah - a breeding ground for the New Generation that's gonna impact schools, Ipoh, Malaysia and the Nations!
